Promoting understanding and appreciation of neurodiversity

Home: Welcome

Hi! My name is Laura and I am the author of this website. I am from the UK but I am currently living and working in Grand Cayman. I started my career as a science teacher in 2003 and began specializing in autism education in 2008. I am also a trained Gestalt counselor and keen amateur photographer!

I decided to write about autism last year when the world turned upside down, as a way to share what I have learnt over the years. As it turned out the process of trying to put what I have learnt into words taught me a lot too which was a bonus!

I am really keen to get feedback on my writing so please do comment on my blogs if you have any feedback or questions. If you prefer you can email me at

Please also subscribe to my website and follow me on Facebook at Autism Bug | Facebook to be the first to know about new content!
